So what is organic green tea?
We only supply organically grown green tea, because the synthetic and petrochemical fertilisers used by some growers lead to a less rich and flavoursome crop. The chemicals used in non-organic production of green tea can lead to loss of some of those vital ingredients found in green tea, namely polyphenol oxidase (or anti-oxidants as they are more commonly known).
Of course, organically grown tea is also better for the environment - something else we are passionate about! Our growers use traditional methods to produce teas for us, including planting tea according to lunar cycles, which produces organic green tea bushes which have the optimal daylight in which to grow.
